Rock Of Ages

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee; let the water and the blood, from thy wounded side which flowed, be of sin the double cure; save from wrath and make me pure.
Not the labors of my hands can fulfill thy law's commands; could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow, all for sin could not atone; thou must save, and thou alone.
Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling; naked, come to thee for dress; helpless, look to thee for grace; foul, I to the fountain fly; wash me, Savior, or I die.
While I draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyes shall close in death, when I soar to worlds unknown, see thee on thy judgment throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.
This was My Momma's favorite song and it was playing when she took her last breath one year ago today..
I miss you Momma and thank you for all that you taught me..

Good Evening Stephanie,
I'm sorry to hear about your Mother. This is truly a beautiful tribute to her. I have always loved the song "Rock of Ages" too. Just remember my friend, you Mother is up in Heaven with JESUS and not in anymore pain of suffering. I know it is hard on you, but GOD is with you and will see you thru this. Your Mother was a beautiful lady. I know you loved her very much and I know that Wednesday must of have been a hard day for you. I'll keep you in my prayers. Your Mother is watching over you and I know she is very proud of you as well. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi Mississippi Songbird,
That's a very beautiful and powerful song about God. I could say that you really loved and missed your momma. I know that somewhere in the future you will be meeting her in the company of angels and the saints. Till then, let us just do the things that God wants us to do while we're still here on earth. Thanks for the memorable post. God bless you and your family always.

Your Mother was a beautiful Lady. I can't imagine what it is like losing your Mother. I'm sure that she taught you well, and that is one of the greatest contributions that a Mother can do is what she leaves behind and what she taught her kids. Hope you and yours have a blessed day.

Your mother was beautiful and I'm sure inside as well as out. That is one of my favorite songs too, they just don't write them like they used to. As you know you are truly blessed to have had a Mom that loved you and taught you so many things!! xox
