Thank Goodness ,It's Friday!
I've been tagged by Karen at Karen's Korner for a meme. Tell 7 random things about myself and then tag 7 more people. I'm going to tag seven. You can do this at your leisure or not do it at all. it's up to you..It's just a little thing to get to know you better..
1). I got to sing back-up one time with Jeannie C Riley( Harper Valley PTA).. That was fun. She was a sweety..
2). I used to sing in nightclubs in and around Houston,Texas. Anything from Hard Rock, Pop rock and blues to Country. I have actually sung a a nightclub, where they had a chicken wire fence in front of the bandstand, so people couldn't throw beer bottles at the band.. Yeah. I quit that life.. Too rough..lol
3.) My daughter and I have been up in a Hot Air Balloon before.. It was at a Balloon Festival in Jackson,Tn when she was about 3 or 4 years old.. Scared me to death.... She absolutely loved it..
4.) When I was 5 years old, My parents got a divorce and I flew every summer to see my Dad. I would go by myself, with a stewardess as a guardian. I got to talk tot he captain and the crew and got a pair of wings every time I flew..
5.) My Daddy used to be a Baptist preacher..( yep. Then he had an affair and my parents divorced.)
6.) I once kissed the lead singer of the Little River band (Glenn Shorrock). I was a teenager, hanging out backstage at the Houston Summit with my friends. They came out to their Limo and were putting stuff in the trunk. I got his autograph , he talked to me a couple of minutes, then gave me a big kiss, right on the lips.... YEah, Baby! wink...
7.) My Chocolate pie( momma's Recipe) won first place one year at the County Fair.. That pie is delicious. The recipe is on my Mommas Cookbook blog.. Check it out....
It's supposed to sleet this evening. They just let the kids out of school early, So that means we'll probably be couped up all weekend.. Look for my Cabin Fever blog sometime soon..
Have a great weekend.
Bunches of hugs!
