Hail Storm last night

Hello, Everyone
We finally have our power fixed...Last night, we had two hail storms. One was at 7:30PM . The kids and I were at home.. We heard something hitting the roof ,like a popcorn machine, then every now and then, it sounded like someone hitting the roof with a baseball bat.. That lasted about 5 minutes. It seemed longer....After that storm, we looked outside and the yard was covered white in hail. My snon took a plastic bowl and filled it half full with quarter and dime sized hail.. We have it in the freezer now. I have never been in a hail sotrm that left so much hail around.Of course it all melted in about 30 minutes, since it was about 70 degrees outside... We had power all through tat storm, then around 10:30pm, our power all of the sudden went off... Well, we went on to bed.. and I was listening to my little FM radio with the earplugs and then, at about 11:30pm, we had another hail storm come. This one only lasted a couple of minutes, but the rain, thunder and lightening went on, seemed like for an hour, until I finally fell asleep. I couldn't stay up any longer. I got up this morning, the kids rooms had power but the rest of the house did not.. I couldn't get the A/C unit to come on..

When I went to work, the phone was ringing all day. We had about 20 auto hail claim and 10 roof claims just today.. I'm sure there will be more come in, as the week goes on.. We are trying to handle them as quickly as possible.. I'm just so glad no one was hurt , but I feel so sad for the areas that got hit, and the people that had loved one killed.. That is so awful.. My prayers are with those families..
Well, I'll say good night.. It's been a long day. Thanks for all the comments and the concerned E-mails I got. I sure do love my blog buddies..
God bless you and Bunches of hugs!!!

Good Evening Stephanie,
"PRAISE GOD" yall are alright as well. We didn't get any hail here. I bet yall were busy today and will be busy in the weeks to come also. That was such a terrible thing that happened last night. I heard on the news this morning that this particular tornado outbreak would go down in history. My DH finally made it home around 4:15a.m. yesterday morning. They were suppose to leave out at noon on Wednesday, but their driver manager called his Uncle and told them all the loads had been cancelled. The place where they pick up their loads is right next to the DHC Logistic's Warehouse that got hit. They will be off till early Sunday morning when they leave out for their Salt Lake City run. So, that's 2 paychecks we won't get this week. We are doing okay tho. Take care my friend and have a great evening and hopefully you will get some rest. May God Bless You and Yours. That picture you took is just awesome. It is awesome how clouds do form.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Glad you and your family are ok from all of this. I feel bad for all the families who lost loved ones too. I will remember them in my prayers.

I'm so glad you and your family are safe. I thought about you when I read about the tornados. Strange for February!

God bless!

I am so glad you were safe through the storms. Some were not as lucky. Our family in Tennessee came through unscathed, but a little frightened, I think.

I take it your hubby was on the road. I'm the daughter of a long distance trucker driver and remember all the emergencies where it was just my mom and us children. She was great, as I can tell you are too.

Have a good day. I hope you get rested up.

Such strange weather around the country. Even our weather forecasters don't seem to know what to make of it. I'm glad you had no damage from your storms.

Hi Mississippi Songbird,
I'm so glad that the Lord spared you any damages or casualties in those horrible storms and tornado that struck your area. God is really good. He will never let His children suffer unnecessarily. My prayers go to the victims of the calamities that hit your area. God bless you and your family always.
