What Memorial Day means to me......

What Does Memorial Day mean to me?

It means that I should remember those that gave their life to protect our freedoms..

What freedoms? Well, for one thing, writing what I want to, on the internet.. Having rights as a woman and a human being to live without fear, to worship without fear of being murdered for what I believe.. The freedom to speak when I want, to not have to cover my head while in public ..

Those freedoms are what our Military men and women fought and died for.. I want never to forget that and I do not want my children to ever forget that..

If we forget that, we may have those freedoms taken away...

That's what Memorial Day means to me....

And I want to THANK our Military for protecting us daily!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I hope all of you have a good weekend!

What does it mean to you??

Bunches of hugs......

I think it means all the same things to me that it does to you. I am proud to be the daughter and daughter-in-law of men who served in World War II. I never, ever take my freedom for granted and praise God that there are those who fought for our countryl.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Wonderful post! To me, Memorial Day means freedom of everything...speech, religion, press, you name it. I thank God I was born in the good old USA! And, also, I am thankful that my children can live in this great country of ours and live in freedom, period. But we have to think of the lives that were sacrificed for those freedoms that we all take for granted each and every day.

Hope you have a safe, fun Memorial Day!

All that you mentioned and more. Especially the freedom to assemble and worship as I please.

Hope you have a great Memorial weekend!

Hugs,

When we stop and think about the young men and women who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom do we really know how young they were.? Look at the ones now who are out there today fighting for us. I look at my son who is 20 and fighting for us to have our freedom. They are going to see things that we as adults would run and cover our heads. Everyone of them gave up their lives for us. It's a great honor to have my child take that oath to serve and protect this great country. Hope you and yours have a blessed weekend
