I love picking out a new day planner every year.. Then I get busy with filling in the stuff. That is a lot of work..Let me tell you.. I haven't graduated to the electronic day planner yet.. To me, there is just something satisfying about penciling it in.. Gives me something to do, as far as a little control in my life..lol
The kids are out of school tomorrow and Tuesday, for the MLK Holiday and then Tuesday for teachers meetings, which will get out after a couple of hours, because of the inauguration . I have to tell you, I am getting excited about the festivities. I love to watch them every 4 years.. I don't think I've missed one, since I can remember.. I just love to see the hope in peoples eyes, that things will get better...
I am fighting off a cold, so I'll close for now.. I hope all of you enjoy this holiday week and the festivities and look forward to a new beginning...
I've got to go and fill some more stuff in, in my day planner...
Bunches of hugs.....

LOL! I do both, have a calendar on my computer that pops up with things a week ahead but also have a yearly (small) calendar where I write in the things I don't want to miss. Birthdays, anniversaries, doctor appointments and etc. This way I assume I will catch the item one place or the other. Hope you've had a great week-end.
I use a day planner too! I've thought about getting an electronic one, just havent. I set my blog to private and cant remember if I sent you an invite to it or not. If I didnt, send me an email to iluvmynonna@yahoo.com. I want to keep all my friends!
The planner does look so nice. I used iCal and a big one that I write into for the family. The motto around our house is "if ain't on the calendar it ain't gonna happen!" :)
Hi Stephanie,
Thanks so much for your kindness. It is great to have a blogging buddy...I hope you have a great week!
Blessings,
Susie
I have an electronic pdr, but don't use it. Give me my good old calendar. I keep them for years and look back to see what I did when. I know, I know, I should journal, but I don't always take the time so the calendar works.
Hope you feel better soon.
~hippo hugs~
When I was working I used my day-planner as a kind of diary of what both work and my family had been about. Now I use a regular wall calendar. Do you keep your day planners from all the other years? I have! It helps when you think that perhaps you haven't done much in one year to go back and take a look at what ACTUALLY went on...a real eye opener!!
Hope you feel better soon. Have fun watching inauguration day...it looks to be an extravaganza! And it's an amazing piece of history. We need the hope that it brings.

Hi Stephanie,
I don't have a day planner, but do have a calendar where I mark down special days I have to remember and such. And I write little memoes to myself and stick them on the fridge as reminders of something important.
Yes, a new beginning for our country. God bless the USA.
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Renie
Day planners are handy to some but never for me. I write in stuff for about one week and then I never use it again - but I keep the pictures!
I hope your cold is better today sweetie!
I hope your feeling better today.
Take care.
Lisa
maybe if I'd get a planner I wouldnt forget some real important dates, uh?
instead I leave pieces of paper on my fridge with dates, time, and who or where, I even leave post it notes on my locker at work, or on my steering wheel of my car...it's crazy and to think all I need is a planner!!!!
Hugs
Annette
I do love something to write in..... I like you am not ready for electronic..... I need to go out and buy me one...You have inspired me......
I love picking out planners at the beginning of every new year...they are my source for organization and often inspirational (depending on which type I choose). I could not get through very many days without checking to see where I am supposed to be! Thank you so kindly for paying a visit to my blog...new friends are always welcome and I hope your cold goes away quickly...they're never any fun ~
Hope you're feeling better now that there's a break in the weather! Yup, we got some snow "furries", just enough to count, not enuf to make a teensy
snowball!
Yummy..I'll have to try the McD's in Ripley for that Sweet Tea...altho you've got a formula, too, *grin*!
Rambling here: Back in Arizona we made something called Sun Tea...it's where you put the teabags into a big jar of water and leave it out in the sun all day long. It steeps by itself (I'm talking middle of summer).
