An Unexpected Valentine

I got this in the mail yesterday from some friends from Radio Paradise..Justin,Scott and their beautiful children. There was toffee too, but it didn't make it o the camera..lol

I am going to make biscuits in the morning to go with the jams..Let me tell you, they are soooooo good..

I hope all of you have had a good week.I am so ready for the weekend.. My husband is still looking for a job.. and to top it off, we got a letter from the COBRA health insurance that they had priced the health insurance wrong. It will be DOUBLE what they originally billed us.. NOW WHAT?

Please keep us in your prayers and so many other folks that are going through the same stuff.

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend..

Bunches of hugs!

What a nice gift!

I hope your husband finds a job soon. They are talking about laying off a bunch of people where my husband works.

You continue to be in my prayers. We are in the midst of a time when many of us are suffering because of the choices made by businesses and banks that we have never even heard of. So, we all have to stick together and assist one another if we are to get through this.

My blessings and more to you and yours.

Hi Stephanie,
I am so sorry to hear your husband still has not found work. My Scotty Dog is unable to work right now due to his impending back surgery. He is using his vacation time...hopefully he will be approved for FMLA and will at least receive some pay...this will be a tough time.
God willing, both our families will make it through...

Blessings to you and yours,
Susie

Good luck with hubby getting a new job. That COBRA insurance can break a person up. But if you don't have it and then need it, you could almost lose everything trying tp pay the hospital. I often wonder how do the hospitals get their money from people that have nothing? Or don't they treat them to begin with?

Steph,

Nice Valentine's surprise, the jellies look wonderful. I hope everything works out, it's getting real tough for a lot of people...but keep the faith.

Homemade jellies, yummy! We have some pear preserves from familiy that is just delicious.

Sorry about hubby's job situation, we are in the same boat (no water and no oars, HaHa, gotta find a joke in this somewhere, right?!) Health insurance is maddeningly expensive, but important because the cost of a hospital visit is hard to believe. Our insurance is through my disability, but it's a big monthly chunk, and then there's the co-pays...oh, I so don't want to leave this post on a sour note, so...

Spring is just around the corner, and these temps are wonderful! Say cheese and SMILE :o)

I'm still praying. We know that God is in control and we know "that God is faithful and will not let us be tempted beyond that which we can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

So many today are need ing God's way to escape and we all need to be in prayer.

Remember, you and your family are loved by many.

Oh, that jam and jelly looks soooo good! Nothing like homemade!!! And fresh biscuits, too! You are making me hungry! All I've had all day is coffee! It's been a busy day with work for me.

Do hope your hubby soon gets a job. I know it has to be so frustrating. Keep the faith...things will probably turn out to be better than they were before. Look for the 'silver lining.' God is good, and He is looking out for you.
