Kansas Concert

After much anticipation, I got to go and see the group, Kansas at Sam's Town Casino in Robinsonville,Ms On Saturday night(03/03/07)

I went by myself( my husband could not go, because he had to leave on a trip. He's a truckdriver).

The show was not until 8PM that night. I left around
3:30pm. It takes 2 hours to get there, and I wanted to be there before dark. The whole place was packed. I drove around trying to find a parking spot for a little while. I went through the covered parking area, with it's 6 stories and very quickly decided I would rather park out in the outside parking lot..
When I went into the casino, the lines were long at the customer service, but luckily, I had to go upstairs to get my tickets.. When I got up there, The lady got right to me, so that didn't take but a couple of minutes.
So... I have some time to kill until the concert.
I went back down into the casino....I decided to play the nickle slot machine... It took me a while to find a vacant machine.I sat down, said goodbye to my $20 bill... then proceeded to play, one nickle at a time.. This will kill some time.....
I had gotten it down to $13 in the machine, then I hit a "jackpot"...
It shot up to $36........(big spender, huh?) so I cashed it out and by that time, they had opened the concert arena doors.(7pm) I was one of the first ones in...I thought to myself..Maybe there won't be such a crowd, and I can move over to the center..WRONG!!
The place was covered up in about 30 minutes...
Then I saw some of the group, walking on and off the stage.. Flashback memories of my teenage years, when I went to see them at the Summit in Houston,Texas.....The friends that I was with..The whole night, seemed to come back to me..
The lights went down.. The stage was lit like the stars in space....The group came onstage...
Richard Williams( the guy with the patch that plays the lead guitar. Billy Greer(Bass guitar) Phil Ehart (drummer)Steve Walsh ( lead singer & keyboard) and David Ragsdale (violin & guitar).....
David Ragsdale stole the show. FANTASTIC!...Their violin and distinctive lead and harmony vocals give them their unique sound. The audience there were mostly in their 40's and 50's.. There were a few of the 60's bunch(you know, those seniors at the casinos..) that stayed for a few songs, then went back to gambling..This was NOT THEIR Rock AND ROLL......
They performed almost 2 hours.. They had said good night, without singing my three favorite songs...
Then everyone started stomping their feet..(The liquor was really flowing.. (But I didn't have any)Then they came back on stage to sing "Dust in the wind, Carry On,My Wayward son, and Point of No Return.
This is the groups 33rd year....They might be old hippies, but they KNOW HOW TO ROCK!
Everyone gave them a standing ovation(heck,We stood most of the night)
Anyway... I was thrilled.. It was wonderful. I am so glad I got to experience it..

I think people always will like the music that they adored in their teen years.
I took pictures, but I've misplaced my camera
I KNOW I brought it home..
