Welcome November

November comes And November goes,

With the last red berries

And the first white snows.

With night coming early,

And dawn coming late,

And ice in the bucket

And frost by the gate.

The fires burn And the kettles sing,

And earth sinks to rest Until next spring.-

It's hard to believe how quickly time passes. My kids are growing.

It's hard to believe I've been at the same job for nearly 19 years. I call these years, my Momma years..lol I know they will go by quickly, so I better enjoy them while I can. last night, we only had 3 trick or treaters at our door..

My kids were busy with the church activities.. They came home, telling us all about it..We didn't get to bed until late. Kristen's school has the Harvest Festival tonight( They postponed it from last Thursday). I doubt i will go to that. All of us are so tired from this week, and it's only Thursday...

Tomorrow night, The kids are going to an away football game with the PEP bus from the high school. This will be the last football game for my kids for the year, because their brother, Jared is getting married next weekend..

Jared has been married before, but he is marrying someone that has not been married before, and they are having a LARGE church wedding..

I hope all of you have a terrific day and If i don't post tomorrow, Have a great weekend...

Bunches of hugs..

I can hardly believe that today is November 1.That means it's just three weeks until Thanksgiving. Where does the time go?

The older I get, the quicker the years seem to go by. (And I stillhave a three-year-old to raise! LOL)

Hi Mississippi Songbird,
I agree with you, time flies so fast and without you knowing it, the kids are all grown up. That's why we should bond with them as long as they're with us. Time will come when they will be pursuing their own lives and we will be left alone with just their childhood memories to accompany us. Thanks for the nostalgic post. Happy weekend. God bless you and your whole family.

This is a lovely post, Ms. Songbird. Everything about—the graphic, the poem, your comments—speaks of life. Lovely and refreshing. Thank you.
