Happy Sunday!

First, Thank all of you for the prayers I've received. They have helped me so much..
My Aunt Dena sent these little things to keep you younger, this morning. I hope you enjoy them..

How To Stay Young

1. Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!
2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;)
3. Keep learning : Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.
6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only people who are with us our entire lives, are God and ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend.
11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second time.

.Lost time can never be found.

Thanks for visiting my blog. It is a whole new world for me.

I loved all the wonderful ideas in your post. I must make a note of them and practice them frequently.

The first anniversary is always so raw. Time is a wonderful thing in helping us to remember all the good that we shared with those who we loved in life. With a father who died several years post stroke, I can tell you that some of those memories were not the best. I try NOT to remember those and relish the years of memories before.

I will be checking back on your blog.

That's a great list. It should make one feel young. Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you're feeling better today. It akes time to get over a family members death, especially one's Mother. I'm very fortunate, I am 71 and my Mother just turned 85. I feel like I am catching up with her. She was way too young to have been a Mother when I came along. But I love my Mom dearly. It took me about five years to get over my sister's death, I would catch myself going to the phone to call her, or think, now I have to remember and tell Nancy. Then it would hit me again she wasn't there for me to call or tell. My Mother said that was the hardest death she's ever had to experience, even harder then when she lost Dad. But we humans seem to be able to cope and go on with life and have lots of fond memories.
