Re-Painting the Kitchen!

Well, I'm off work today and am going to do my best to get the wallpaper off of the kitchen walls, so it will be ready to paint.. I have a feeling we won't be cooking in the kitchen in the next few days...

Got any dinner suggestions? We have a freezer and some frozen foods.. Guess I could use the microwave ..

I hope you are having a good week..

Oh, removing wallpaper first, and then painting sounds like a pretty labor intensive job, Stephanie. The microwave should come in pretty handy now.

Have a good day!

If the paper is on really tight, why not paint over the paper. That's what they use to do. Of course, right after you paint over the paper it will look like the paper is coming loose, but once the paint dries, the paper tightens up again like before. Sure saves a lot of time and energy. Good luck.

Stephanie, we did our kitchen last week and we just did deli sandwiches on 'fine' china (chinette). It is so rewarding to have a fresh kitchen - good luck and have fun!

Sounds like a microwave or crockpot week to me... Good luck and I can't wait to see pics of the kitchen when it is done!

Fast food is my suggestion! LOL

Let me know how the wallpaper stripping goes as I am thinking of doing the same thing. I've heard it is an awful job....please tell me the truth now.

I envy you for your ambition!!!

Good luck!

I love wallpaper and would prefer to have it in every room. But, ohhhhhhhhhh, having to remove it is just awful. I want to redo my tv room but it is papered even on the ceiling. I can't even think of what a neck-breaking job that will be.

Are you sure that you don't want to come and do my house after you get thru with yours. I'm off work today, need to be cleaning house but I'm hitting the saddle. I ran Friday night at Ripley, rain and all.lol Never understood why they had it outside instead of inside.? Hope you and yours have a blessed day.

Steph,

Put a picture up when you are finished so that we can see the final job! I know it will look good.

I suggest the microwave.
