Well, We went to the cabin. We rented it at Trace Lake.. The weather was perfect.. My husband's sister and her family came out too. There was fishing, 4-wheeler riding, cooking out, hiking and bike riding.. I even went shopping in Tupelo Saturday. I went to visit where I used to live. Lots of ghosts there..My old house . Tupelo has grown so much since I lived there about 18 years ago. With the Toyota plant coming soon, it's getting bigger. There were lots of music festivals going on. I stopped at Ballard park and listened to some blues for a little while..
We came back yesterday afternoon.. The cabin was small for 4 people...lol
I love togetherness, but that was a little too much..
Our blow up mattress for the kids got a hole in it, and I had to buy a new one.
The water was really low at the lake due to not much rain..
All in all, we had a nice time... although not much resting really. And pacing and unpacking and loading and unloading stuff. Wheew! I was tired when I got home..
Really, It's not much of a vacation, when I am having to cook for the gang..then clean up the mess. ..
I would much rather stay at a hotel and have them wait on me.. THAT's MY kind of vacation.....lol
But.. the summer has just begun..
I hope all of you had a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.

I love camping. I really do. The whole tent thing I actually love. But everybody else would rather be in a hotel. Now if I had to cook for them all......I'd rather be in a hotel as well. But you do it with such style and panache!
